They say that light overshadows darkness. They also say that time heals all wounds and that love conquers all. But, what if, for some, those notions are false? What if time is a curse, love is a condemnation, and light is a burden so crushing that the darkness consumes? And, what if happiness is an idea restricted to the human mind? For a soul created from light, a living spark of the divine, Leesie Raign is burdened. The ghosts of her mother's past haunt her reality as well as threaten her divine soul. These shadows of the days gone by are so horrendous that the mere recollection of them compromises her existence. It is the same darkness that torments her nights and haunts her every waking moment. It is a darkness so dense that it endangers the lives of all who are dear to her. In her search for the truth, Leesie must find the meaning of her existence by walking the dark corridor of her mother's fears while also facing the terror and trials of her past lost lives. Is the love of her family, as well as the protection of her soul mate, enough to spare her? Will she find the truth amidst the light? Or is the light at the end of the vast tunnel of healing simply the pathway to a never-ending abyss?
