American award-winning novelist and author Jule Armstrong finds more than she bargained for when she stepped into the wild side of owning a horse ranch and Mustang training facility in Oklahoma. What she had hoped to be an idyllic way to forge the next chapter of her life, wound up teaching her a few lessons about being more of what and who she is; and that sometimes chasing rainbows can land you in potholes rather than with a pot of gold.
When a young innocent boarder is murdered on the premises of the newly purchased Bay Sorrel Ranch, everyone in the state is talking about how their former Golden-Girl rider has made it to the big time as a writer, only to find herself and her reputation swinging in the Oklahoma wind! Finding the killer won't be easy; not when the author's manager tries to keep her name out of the investigation long enough to launch her newest sensational Highland Romance novel; it's a wild ride for sure out there on the pastures of the new Bay Sorrel Ranch.
