Meeting Rory Adams for the first time in years, Grace Day's memories of her huge crush on him rush back. She can't refuse his help for the military fundraiser she's organizing and she knows she mustn't fall for him, Rory's not the staying kind.
Growing up in practically a war zone was the perfect preparation for Rory to be a soldier and his motto is, 'when you expect the worst, you are rarely disappointed'. As she uncovers the Rory beneath the armor, can Grace convince him to believe in the man he really is: a man so good it brings tears to her eyes, the man she wants to spend her life with?
