Barley is a beautiful, black, Labrador Retriever.
Barley's tail wag became famous because of
the sheer strength and power in his excited wag.
He can wag his tale like a sword. When he gets
excited, and that happens a lot, he will wag his
tail so hard sometimes it cuts it. If he is excited to see you, he
can bruise you with that wag. Once he sliced a plant of mine
like it had been cut with clippers. I knew I couldn't write about
cuts, bleeding, bruising and decapitated plants, so I went in
the direction of what makes Barley's tail wag. You and your
