About

A book comprised of eight short stories about the beautiful, sad, happy, exciting, tragic actuality that many teenagers may go through nowadays. These stories give a realistic portrayal of how Covid-19, social media, school, romantic relationships, and friends affect the lives of young adults and how some may deal with unresolved problems or passions. Babel's Rhapsody provides deep and valuable insight into the life and minds of teenagers. These stories will stimulate, inform, and energize readers.
I have taken my experience, imagination, and observations and made fictional stories. The writing I have done has helped me cope with the unresolved dilemmas in my head, and I have had the opportunity to express my troubles and the troubles I think others can have on a piece of paper. My characters speak to each other and give one another solutions, but even those answers are partly faulty. This book is not meant to be a guide for anybody. Instead, it is intended to capture an exaggerated reality that teenagers may go through.
Since this book has been written by a teenager-me- I will not kid you and tell you that this book is for everybody. I know that there will be people offended by the content of this book because it openly deals with subjects like pornography, sex, drugs, underage drinking, and religion. Not only that, but all my main characters are imperfect teenagers who sometimes may not be reaching for the higher good.
So, why write it? The main reason I love to read and write is because I get to go into somebody else's life and try to understand why they did something good or bad. I give part of myself to the story when I read or write a book and in return, I get to be a more empathetic person. Empathy is something everybody needs because everybody hasn't been through everything. Though we know something to be wrong we can still pinpoint where and why somebody may have fallen. This will help us stay away from the same mistakes and we can also help others by telling them what we know. But I don't believe that it is our chief responsibility to be preaching to others, especially if we know they don't want to hear it.
With our newly found wisdom, we can be more patient and understanding with people struggling with common problems. We are too quick to label people 'weak' or 'strong' because we only see their actions (that is another reason why your actions are so important), but perhaps that person is 'weak' and if so, the real question is, why are they weak? When we find out why we also find better solutions that won't make the person struggling feel like an outcast. This can simply mean being there for the person struggling and listening to their situation while also giving them your honest opinion if they ask.
Reading my book will help build your empathy muscle and this is why everybody can enjoy Babel's Rhapsody. Not only that, but it's also fairly entertaining. With that said I hope you read my book and learn something positive.
