"The stories are engaging and accessible for younger readers, seamlessly weaving in cultural representation. The vibrant, cartoon-like illustrations appear on every page, sometimes carrying the story without words. The combination of images and text makes these books an excellent choice for early chapter book readers." -School Library Journal
