Every artist whether a painter, musician, or writer passes through a gloomy period before surfacing into sunshine. Even Pablo Picasso had his blue period before emerging in rose period. My autumn poems aspire to go through a short winter before entering into my poems of springtime, just like a spring that jumps from season to season.
