About The Author:
Trae Waynes is a former professional athlete turned entrepreneur and author. After years competing at the highest level, he discovered that life after football can be just as demanding as life on the field - only the battles now happen behind closed doors, in the silence few ever speak about. Many athletes face that moment of reckoning: the loss of identity, structure, and belonging that no playbook prepares you for.
For Trae, Athletes Die Twice is more than a story - it's a mission. A way to give voice to the hidden struggles athletes face once the Game Ends. Through his work, he aims to foster understanding, healing, and honest conversation about what life after the game truly entails. Because the end of a career isn't the end of who you are - it's the beginning of becoming who you were meant to be.
