As the Wind Blows

AS THE WIND BLOWS

as I think of the writing of this book
every tree of creativity I have shook
hoping fruit would fall down all over me
as I penned this manuscript of poetry
and for me it has been a labor of love
praying it will be blessed by the heavenly Dove
that what I have put my heart so into
it will give other's overcast some sky blue
that as life has rained on their parade
they will be uplifted by the poems I have made
that as the wind blows through my heart
it will give the discouraged a faith's lionheart
and that the God I long to please and glorify
this book would augment the same behind the reader's eye
because I believe that my main contribution to His kingdom
it is to write about Him to those of the burdensome
those who need His truth and wonder put into poetry succinct
so loving and trusting Jesus would be their natural instinct
thus my quiet and humble attempt to glorify God
and to help those feeling like they have a barren sod
it is to write as a catalyst for another's transformation
and ultimately for God's glorification
hence as the wind blows at me in perpetual gale gust
I am left with writing as my sacred trust
