Are We There Yet?

What would happen if we put the same care and attention into teaching young people about sex as we put into teaching them to drive? Are We There Yet? is a compelling participatory play and workshop about sexuality health education for fourteen- to sixteen-year-olds. Using the metaphor of learning to drive to frame realistic scenes of relationship dilemmas, the play creates instant ease amongst teenagers, and between teenagers and adults. Humour is used to release tension, and creates an atmosphere in which young people feel safe and free to talk about the topical dilemmas presented on stage, and by proxy, in their lives.
