When the Calloway family moves to Tupelo in the1950's and enroll their sons in school, the Calloway brothers immediately run into trouble with two of the meanest boys in Tupelo. When the boys meet the trouble head on, it impresses the whole school and in particular, the beautiful Annabelle Owens. Love blooms quickly.
