An Unfair Affair is the debut poetry collection from Able Batth, a South Asian poet based in Vancouver. Written during a time of emotional exile and spiritual reawakening, the book gathers over 575 poems into a singular, haunting narrative. At its heart: one woman, one ghost, one vow.
Told in four emotional acts, An Unfair Affair is a confessional epic shaped by heartbreak, memory, myth, and longing. More than a breakup book, it explores what love becomes when it is carried-not returned.
Batth's poetry blends the sacred and the monstrous, the personal and the mythic. Through lyrical fragments and spiritual ache, he speaks to those who love without guarantees, who grieve in silence, and who refuse to let tenderness die.
Perfect for readers of modern love poetry, grief writing, South Asian literature, and emotionally intense verse-An Unfair Affair invites you into a velouric experience: soft, relentless, unforgettable.
