Andrew Finn is many things to many people: heartbroken former partner, bereaved son, and loyal friend. To his ex-CJ, he is a loving yet flawed man who lacks the temperament to forgive. And as Finn takes a solo Christmas trip to Amsterdam for what was to be their twenty-fifth anniversary, his anguish is interrupted by the most unlikely of travel companions, Baby Jesus, who accompanies Andrew to his favorite haunts as he tries to unravel the past and determine how a seemingly solid kinship could collapse, a Guinness always within reach.
With Terry Gavin's trademark blend of humor and empathy, Amsterdam Rising is a compelling page-turner with a heartwrenching ending that you will never see coming.
