Book 1: Stormy's Something Special Start with Lady in Blue vividly describes their first twenty-two months together, a strong-willed green mare and a career woman. How will they become compatible riding partners? Lady in Blue has a choice to make that will impact Stormy's life forever: What's the best boarding environment for a hard keeper? Time and again, the lady grapples with each boarding facility's contractual rights to direct Stormy's full care and Western training with her desire to be a decision-maker. Throughout Book 1, Stormy's unique personality and breed traits emerge as Lady in Blue navigates Stormy's interactions with her new experiences, environments, handlers, and trainers. Despite Lady in Blue's best efforts, trauma occurs to Stormy, which tests both horse and owner. Stormy's pedigree includes notable ancestors from each of her heritage breeds: American Paint Horse, American Quarter Horse, and American Thoroughbred.
