Albert Geiger's autobiography tells of a lifetime in the fashion industry. From his humble start as a milliner to his illustrious work in couture clothing, Bert's many successes in design are owed to his indomitable motivation to have his own fashion label. His styles outlived the trends of the times, from the conservative cuts of the forties to the rebellious "Disco Daze" and beyond. Classic lines and casual elegance distinguished Bert's designs, resulting in clothing that was "Always In Fashion." His story recounts global excursions in fashion, the love and professional support of his wife Lorraine, the production and marketing of clothing, and much more. Bert's autobiography will inspire young designers contemplating careers in fashion and will entertain fashionistas of all ages with a tour of style from the last half-century. Young designers considering fashion careers will be ahead of the curve after reading Geiger's experiences, and will see the reality of how quickly the industry changes from one season to the next. All fashionistas will savor the photographs of the designer's life that appear at the end of each chapter, supplementing Geiger's rich descriptions of fabrics, patterns, and clothing styles. "Always In Fashion" offers a rare historical closeup of Bert Geiger. From the fifties to today, Bert's designs survived trends and fads each season by working with classic lines, which made his clothes "Always In Fashion." He celebrated his 94th birthday shortly before releasing his book.
