When you're all that's left, who can you count on?
When aliens invade Earth with just one deadly agenda, humans are forced into the rainforest to avoid fatal bombs and merciless ground troops. A group of unlikely strangers comes together under the command of ex-army reservist, Jared, to start the dangerous trek through an unforgiving landscape of bugs, snakes and enemies, to find a safe place to bunker down.
The dwindling group faces a failed coup, disease, hunger, pestilence and wild dogs, but third-year pharmacy student, Jess, steps up to become doctor not only to her new friends, but also to strangers along the way, in a bid to keep everyone alive.
Together, Jared and Jess lead the team with one mission. To stay alive and one step ahead of a fate worse than death...
A unique story of survival and friendship in the face of an alien invasion. It is told in first-person at a YA level but suits all audiences who appreciate a fast-paced read with a plot that doesn't give up.
