Albion

An epic and bloody tale that shines a light into the murky depths of the Dark Ages. 'Rome has deserted us. Hadrian's Wall is crumbling. There are raiders on every border, at every shore. And yet we fight amongst ourselves.' 447AD. Vitalinus, heir to the Kingdom of Cornovia in the middle of Britannia, believes he can unite the island's splintered tribes. Whatever it takes. Fuelled by the prophetic visions of druids and a murderous ambition, Vitalinus seeks to recruit Britannia's war-mongering immigrants for help in his cause. But while the Saxons, Jutes and Angles may seem to offer hope against the hordes of painted Kaldi warriors beyond the wall and the Irish raiders from across the sea, such service may come at a terrible cost. Meanwhile, in the north, Emrys witnesses the devastation wrought by the Kaldi. Cruelly orphaned on the cusp of manhood, he is desperate to fathom the politics of power and war. Where others fail, maybe he can become the true champion of Albion, and herald the way for the great bear, Artos... ...or, as legend would name him, Arthur.
