Sunlight chases winter's chill from forests of spruce, pine, and birch. The last patches of glittering snowpack melt on the peaks of Marcy, Algonquin, and Whiteface. Rivulets of water race down the slopes into the roiling waters of the Ausable and Saranac Rivers. A flood of welcome warmth spreads through the wilderness. This is the arrival of the Adirondack Spring.
Adirondacks author Brian J. Heinz returns to fertile ground with this peaceful and profound ode to Spring featuring beautiful illustrations by Michelle Garlock. Readers will feel new grass underfoot, meet animals emerging from winter rests, and experience the rebirth of green nature on each page.
