Ace of Death

When the novice monk Albern starts hearing a strange voice in his head, he thinks that he is doomed. Unfortunately, the truth is worse: the goddess of death has chosen him to be her prophet, and it's now on him to save the dead (and the living if possible) and do his best to live up to prophethood in the process. An epic high fantasy story featuring a reluctant prophet, an inscrutable goddess, talking goats, bees, and the learning of wisdom or something just as good.
