After a season of loss, the Montgomery Family opens their hearts to a springtime of change.
Last autumn, Laura's death shocked the Montgomery Family to the core.
Laura's daughter, Isabella, is crippled with sorrow and turns to Laura's diaries for comfort. What she finds there- a dramatic story that unfolds between the autumn of 1995 and spring of 1996, intrigues her. Laura never mentioned her old employer, Franklin Butler, nor the fact that, when Laura learned of his criminal activity, he threatened her to be silent. Why did Laura never mention any of this?
Meanwhile, Laura's husband, Steve, has just re-opened his auto repair shop with the hope that a bit of hard work will distract him from his broken heart. In truth, he can't get over how unfair it all is. Laura was his life- she was his love. She deserved to live as long as he did, so they could watch their grandchildren grow up together.
The island of Martha's Vineyard soon finds itself in the midst of a very strange event. A young woman has gone missing, and a private detective named Rina comes to the island to search for her. A chance encounter with Steve leads Rina to a world of discovery. Once she takes a peek in Laura's old diaries, she just might find out where the missing woman disappeared to- and ultimately save her life.
