About
Half a century after the grand chancellor claimed a wife, Weatherby is abandoned, and the curse has returned. Now Heretofore must draw the name of a local to see what lies within the mysterious château.
Ravenna Findlay is an instructor of beauty at the Collegium of the Muses. In the community, she is revered as a descendant of the herald once imprisoned on the cliff. She has even pleased the local matchmaker with her commitment to Stellan Artsbee. For some while, they have been aimed in the direction of the altar. It is only a matter of time-or it was.
When her childhood infatuation, Boone Hollowshot, is called back to town, it can only mean chaos. An announcement is made in the wake of his arrival: citizens must cast their ballots to vote on which soul will be sent beyond the cursed boundary of Weatherby to solve the mystery that's shrouded their town for the last fifty years.
With both freedom and love on the line, Ravenna will need to call upon her own familial history to aid in the town's search for answers. And with Boone's assistance, she may have a real shot at success. If she is fortunate, the reward could be all she once dreamed of, but it could just as easily slip through her fingers and lead to complete and total catastrophe. After all, what she knows best about history is how doomed most are to repeat it.
