This story is a true romantic comedy/tragedy about two very flawed people from working-class backgrounds who fall quickly and deeply in love. It describes in intimate detail how they struggled over time to keep the love alive through many of life's ups and downs while at the same time facing their own flaws and demons. A number of issues encountered in romantic relationships are highlighted and discussed as part of the story. The way the issues are presented provides an opportunity for people to think about those issues and to talk about how they apply in their own relationships. There is also a musical component to the story involving some popular songs.
