These challenging new chapters on Christian holiness are the fruit of long study and reflection. They are of key significance for all Christian leaders today and indeed, for all Christian believers who would know the real teaching of the Word on the vital subject of personal holiness. Searching behind and beyond the usual forms of holiness doctrine, Dr. Baxter sets forth what he documents as the fully accurate, consistent teaching of the written Word, arresting and alluring in its uncomplicated simplicity. "It is my persuasion that the Bible is trying to say something fresh to us again today on the deeply important, sacredly sensitive matter of Christian sanctification; and in these studies I ask the ready to listen with me - to catch the accents of a new call to holiness as that living voice from heaven speaks again through the written Word."
