A family history of Helge Halvorson, born 1797, who migrated from Hallingdal, Norway to the United States in 1850. The family stopped in Rock Prairie, Wisconsin for a short time before moving on to Paint Creek, Iowa and ultimately to Newburg Minnesota. His oldest son, Ole Helgeson, stayed in Newburg and his other son, Halvor Helgeson, moved to Ada, Minnesota.
