Probation can feel like walking a tightrope-every move watched, every mistake magnified. Yet it can also be a chance to rebuild your life with clarity and purpose. In this eye-opening guide, PJ Rios draws from real-world experience to reveal what probation officers rarely explain but every probationer needs to know. Through ten straightforward and honest chapters, Rios breaks down how the system really works-what to expect in court, how to handle your first meeting, and why your behavior, attitude, and choices matter more than you think. From navigating the courtroom to understanding the power of isolation, from staying safe to avoiding self-sabotage, this book shows you how to make probation a stepping-stone instead of a setback. Written with compassion, realism, and a touch of tough love, 10 Things Your Probation Officer Won't Tell You, But Should offers clear guidance for anyone currently on probation, preparing for it, or supporting a loved one through it. It's not about fear-it's about empowerment, accountability, and using the experience to move toward a stronger, more stable future.
