NEW FRONTIER picks up two years after a devastating attack brought down the electric grid across the United States. The country is finally clawing its way back and power is back on for ninety percent of the country, thanks in part to a new network of rail trains. These armored behemoths are the lifeblood healing the United States, carrying supplies and industrial equipment from coast to coast. But no amount of armor or weapons can protect them as they pass through the section of the country still mired in darkness, violence, and danger, that the government simply refers to it as the New Frontier. Retired Marine Recon Scout Sergeant Sam "Raven" Spears and his Akita, Creek make a living tracking down people and critical valuables located in this lawless void. Using the ways of the Cherokee and Sioux he learned from childhood, combined with his experience as a Marine, Raven is good at what he does. When raiders target and steal invaluable, classified cargo from a train in the New Frontier, the local Colorado Rangers ask Raven to help them find those responsible. What he discovers on this mission is beyond anything he or the Rangers expected. Whoever is behind this coordinated attack is far more powerful and connected than any outlaw. As the trail heats up and a mysterious virus starts spreading across the New Frontier, Raven realizes the two might be connected. Insidious forces threaten the entire recovery of the United States, hoping to bury America forever.
