The Passing Shadow

The sun hung low in the sky, casting an orange hue over the scattered ruins of Emberfall. Once, this village had been alive with the laughter of children, the scent of fresh bread, and the hum of blacksmiths at their forges. Now, the air was thick with dust and silence.
