Doctor Paul Clement witnesses the ritualistic murder of a boy who was allegedly already dead and is warned never to speak of it. Back in Paris, Paul begins to study resuscitation via electricity. He hears of patients who apparently died and were brought back to life, claiming to have witnessed what they believed to be Heaven. He attempts to experience it, but something goes horribly wrong. Could Paul have brought something back with him, an unspeakable evil so powerful it can never be banished?
