About

This short audio presentation is designed to bring a clear definition of what self-talk is, how to achieve effective and positive self-talk, and to give you an opportunity to focus and reflect on the level of effective and positive self-talk currently in your life. "There's someone in my head, but it's not me." Roger Waters There is a voice inside everyone's head that is constantly talking. It never stops: Always chattering away, every minute of our waking hours. This is known as our "Self-Talk" or "Internal Monologue". No one else ever hears this internal voice but us. We are the sole listeners to our self-talk. What our self-talk repeatedly says to us and how we respond to it, has a big influence on our life. If our egos are too dominant, then our self-talk may be critical and demanding. What does your self-talk say to you? Is it generally positive or negative? Is it compassionate or critical? Is it constructive or conflicting? Is it a voice of hope and encouragement? A voice of anxiety and fear?
