About

Prem Pradhan was a Hindu. And he was a soldier. A Gurkha in the British Royal Air Force, then commander of a tank regiment in the Indian Army. But God had other plans for his life. It wasn't that long ago that Nepal had few known Christians. Today? Over one million. Prem Pradhan is an important part of the reason. Prem answered God's call to take the gospel back to his home country in 1954. The courage of he and nine newly baptized believers to stand for their faith is sure to inspire all who hear this once-in-a-generation, true story that sounds as though it were lifted out of the book of Acts. Though you may never face prison as Prem did, all Christians must answer the question, "Would you deny Christ if it was about to cost you everything?"
Robert Finley (1922–2019) was the 1944 intercollegiate boxing champion at the University of Virginia. After college, he served as an evangelist with Youth for Christ and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, representing both organizations in China in 1948. His ministry then expanded across Asia-including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and India-where he witnessed firsthand the effectiveness of indigenous missionaries.
Finley became a pioneering voice for reform in global missions, advocating for the evangelism of international students and the empowerment of native believers to lead gospel efforts in their own countries. In pursuit of this vision, he founded International Students, Inc. (ISI) in 1953 and Christian Aid Mission in 1970. Throughout his lifetime, he authored hundreds of articles and five books, including the influential Reformation in Foreign Missions.
