About
The yogic healing arts of India-a tradition that dates back at least 5,000 years-postulate that all illness is the result of a disturbance in the prana, or human energy field. Through centuries of investigation, the healers of these traditions have identified specific sound-syllables for influencing both our physiology and mental states.
On Healing Mantras, Shri Anandi Ma, a respected master of the Kundalini Maha Yoga tradition, chants three mantras said to reestablish balance on the level of the prana. Just listening to these chants, according to the traditional understanding, can impart a powerful healing impulse to the entire human system-body, mind, and spirit.
These chants are performed with Sri Dileepji Pathak, accompanied by tamboura, flute, and violin. Contents include healing mantras to Krishna, Shiva, and the Divine Mother.
Shri Anandi Ma
Shri Anandi Ma is a meditation and yoga teacher with students and disciples in India, Europe, and North America. She is the spiritual heir of the legendary teacher Shri Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasji, who specialized in using the power of mantras and meditation for uplifting the human spirit. While continuing to teach these spiritual sciences, Shri Anandi Ma has also assumed the responsibility for carrying on with the humanitarian works begun during Shri Dhyanyogiji's lifetime. She makes her home in California and India.
Shri Dileepji Pathak
Shri Anandi Ma is the spiritual heir of the great Indian saint known as Shri Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasji, a master of kundalini yoga. When she was a young girl, Shri Anandi Ma experienced very deep states of meditation. Finally, while worshipping the Divine Mother, Shri Anandi Ma went into a state of meditative union that was so profound, her alarmed parents were unable to arouse her. They called upon Shri Dhyanyogiji to help them, and he was able to bring her back to a normal state of consciousness.
He said that Shri Anandi Ma was the most advanced spiritual person he had ever encountered, considering her young age. At her request, and with the permission of her parents, he took her under his wing and trained her to control and radiate her energies for the welfare of humanity, especially by giving kundalini initiation. He said, "I have been asked by my teacher to hand over the powers of this lineage to her," and put aside all his major activities to work almost exclusively with her, day and night, for four years.
During this period Shri Anandi Ma would enter profound states of meditation for hours or days at a time. From the beginning, Shri Anandi Ma worked alongside Shri Dhyanyogiji wherever he traveled, and accompanied him when he came to America in 1976. When Shri Dhyanyogiji returned to India in 1980, he told Shri Anandi Ma and Dileepji to marry and continue his work together.
Today, Shri Anandi Ma and Dileepji travel extensively in India, the United States, and Europe, conducting meditation programs and yoga retreats, and giving shaktipat, or initiation into kundalini yoga.
Dileepji, like Shri Anandi Ma, has been Shri Dhyanyogijis student since his early teens. It was Shri Dhyanyogijis deep love and compassion for humanity that touched and inspired the young Dileepji. With Shri Dhyanyogijis guidance and blessings, Dileepji performed intense spiritual practices, mastered many yogic disciplines, and became one of Shri Dhyanyogijis most advanced disciples.
