Dinocendants

A multinational lawenforcement taskforce led by FBI agent Martine Álvarez investigates a surge in crossborder kidnappings in the triborder region of Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. The US FBI has taken great interest due to American tourists and Business people disappearances. The taskforce uncovers a far darker trade: human and livestock traffickers that use mysterious powers to open temporary spatial tears, or seams into a parallel world called Dura. Specialists like Yara (an anthropologist/forensic folklorist), Ana (a ranger turned investigator), and Comandante Lucía join regional partners to map Dura with special drones, translate oral histories, and identify a predictable calendar of lunaraligned "windows" that traffickers exploit. The team learns the trade is coordinated with nonhuman buyers and aided by a criminal gang, Las Cabras Moradas (The Purple Goats).
As the taskforce moves from evidence gathering to direct action, they balance competing operational styles, legal constraints, and moral urgency for planning simultaneous interdictions on Earth and diplomatic/scientific outreach in Dura. Reconnaissance through interdimensional seams, the discovery of an exiled Duran warrior named Keth, and the mapping of nonhuman settlements transform the problem from folklore into a real crisis. The humans must learn Duran lore and paranormal mechanics to protect themselves and external victims, and to forge fragile alliances to stop a diabolical cross-world market without triggering a wider conflict.
