In true The Da Vinci Code fashion, a taut treasure-hunt thriller filled with secret societies and rival factions vying for control of the truth in a giant global conspiracy.
There were ancient giants on the earth in those days-at least that's what the Bible says. But, where are they? Did they ever really exist at all?
When out-of-work math teacher Ethan McCloud is sent a mysterious puzzle box, he and his ex-girlfriend begin to unravel a mystery 10,000 years in the making-and he is the last hope to discovering the world's greatest conspiracy. Chased by both the Six-Fingered Man and the Council of David, Ethan must survive the chase-and find the truth. Weston Ochse is called "one of the major horror authors of the 21st century" by the American Library Association. Whether he's writing horror, science fiction, or thrillers, Weston's life skills and his more than thirty years in the military, traveling all over the world, has given him a unique perspective on the poignancy of the human condition, which he strives to embrace in all of his literary work. "In this audiobook, Ethan and Shannon are on a quest to prove that the giants mentioned in the Bible's Book of Genesis really existed and may still be here. Their quest is 'the bone chase.' Narrator Kevin R. Free portrays Ethan as a 'brainiac' mathematician with a cautious nature and Shannon, his ex-girlfriend, as a bright and no-holds-barred former Army captain whose guerrilla fighting skills keep them alive. Free's voice and phrasing of both cautious Ethan and hotshot Shannon are enjoyably on target. The humor, romance, and adventure scenes sprinkled throughout give Free a chance to demonstrate skills with timing and rhythm. Listeners will find this fantasy adventure a welcome distraction from the everyday."
