You're Dead

Archie McArtle moves things around the world for a living. Anything you want, especially the ultra-precious, the dangerous, and sometimes questionably legal. With some exceptions: He drew a hard line on drugs, human trafficking, and endangered species. This definitely narrowed his options, but he wanted to shave every morning without averting his eyes from his own reflection.It's not just a good living, it's a suitable life for Archie, a man whose dislike for authority runs to the pathological, thus rendering him unemployable in any other way. The same is true of Brian Oakley, a former cop and retired military man, Archie's partner since childhood and a specialist in keeping Archie out of trouble. At least until recently, with the emergence of a sex-pot blogger of indeterminate national origin; a poorly endowed, rage-aholic Russian gangster; and a woman who is just as good at stealing exotic things as Archie is at shipping them to parts unknown. This becomes increasingly terrifying and life-threatening as far as Archie and Brian are concerned.
