When the Moon Fell by Morrison Colladay is a forgotten gem of early science fiction, a haunting and imaginative tale of cosmic catastrophe and human resilience. When the moon is torn from its orbit and hurtles toward Earth, the world plunges into chaos. Tidal waves flatten coasts, earthquakes shatter continents, and entire civilizations fall. Amidst the devastation, a lone narrator and his companion Jim survive the initial impact in the remote wilds of Labrador. Traveling by air and foot through a shattered landscape, they encounter both the madness and bravery of a crumbling world. From the last flickers of society to the icy reaches of Greenland where the seeds of a new civilization may take root, When the Moon Fell explores the fragile line between despair and hope in the face of unimaginable destruction. Narrated with gravitas and heart by Judd Bonham, this speculative classic invites listeners into a vision of the end-and the beginning-of the world as we know it.
