When faith, identity, and mortality collide, one man's search for truth becomes a life-changing journey. In 1987, at the age of 37, I was confronted with a diagnosis that changed everything: AIDS. Suddenly, the questions I had wrestled with since college-about God, life after death, and my place in the world as a gay man-took on new urgency. This audiobook chronicles my spiritual quest through sacred places and moments of profound honesty. Along the way, I sought proof that God exists and that Heaven is real-and what I found was far more powerful: evidence that divine love reaches even the most uncertain souls. When God Responded: A Gay Man's Search for Affirmation is a deeply personal, brutally honest, and ultimately hopeful exploration of faith and identity. It's for anyone who has ever doubted, searched, or yearned to believe that God embraces every seeker-no matter how imperfect.
