Ben loves helping his dad care for their sheep near Bethlehem. As they watch the flock, his father shares stories about another Bethlehem shepherd - a boy named David who became Israel's king hundreds of years earlier. Told in gentle, rhyming verse, this warm Christmas story links David's life with the night Jesus was born - the true Shepherd-King come to care for his people. A lyrical retelling to treasure, reminding families of God's love, his promises, and the joy of the Saviour's birth.
