Magic, danger, and epic fantasy collide in this spellbinding first book of the Silent Archmage series, where an archmage seeking peace enrolls in a magic academy, only to be swept into a treacherous magical adventure.
Syl, an archmage who tirelessly fought the monsters spilling from the magical Gates and Towers, yearns for a life free from the chaos of battle. When he is assigned to an Aurian magic academy to guard an undercover princess, he is happy to be no more than an unremarkable class three student with dismal practical scores. Right up until people start trying to kill them both.
As outside forces start to close in and Auria hides its weakness from its people, Syl refuses to allow his peace to be trampled on. Once, he was legendary on the battlefield, a voiceless sovereign who left nothing in his wake. Now, he will once again show the world why they feared the Silent Archmage... An enjoyer of stories with detailed magic systems and characters who explore them, coffee, and occasionally writing, Ghost Flower is the pen name (surprise surprise) of an author who hails from sunny California but is currently enduring Midwest winters.
