What happens when the institution tasked with preserving the truth decides to rewrite your reality? Mara Ellison has spent eight years meticulously restoring damaged historical documents for the Helix Institute, a monolithic organization that controls the biometric and legal identities of an isolated coastal town. For Mara, records are the absolute truth. But when she returns from a brief trip, she finds a stranger living in her apartment-a woman who neighbors recognize, who holds Mara's memories, and who works Mara's job with chilling perfection. Seeking proof of her existence, Mara turns to the Institute's infallible biometric registry, only to be rejected. The system hasn't malfunctioned; it has flawlessly executed a sealed Identity Continuity Transfer Agreement. A contract bearing Mara's own unmistakable signature. Stripped of her home, her career, and her very existence, Mara must navigate the fog-drenched streets as a ghost in her own life. Teaming up with a restless researcher and an investigative journalist, she begins to unearth the terrifying depths of Project Continuance-a secret, institutionalized program designed to reassign the identities of the living. Written and performed by Ryan Easteday, The Other Signature is a brilliantly atmospheric, methodically paced psychological thriller that explores the terrifying fragility of identity in a world governed by data and bureaucracy. Will Mara reclaim the life stolen from her, or will she become another erased anomaly in the archives?
