A warship where it doesn't belong. A conspiracy too big to ignore. And the one man clever enough to untangle it.
When Slippery Jim diGriz-master thief turned reluctant agent of the Special Corps-is sent to investigate a suspicious anomaly, he expects a routine job. Instead, he uncovers something impossible: a powerful Warlord-class battleship secretly constructed in a peaceful sector of space.
Nothing about it makes sense.
As Jim digs deeper, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous web of deception orchestrated by the brilliant and ruthless Pepe Nero-and the equally cunning Angelina. What begins as an investigation quickly becomes a race against time, as the stolen battleship threatens to tip the balance of power across the galaxy.
Outmatched, outmaneuvered, and never quite sure who to trust, Jim must rely on his wits, instincts, and a lifetime of bending the rules to stop a plot that could ignite interstellar chaos.
Packed with sharp humor, high-stakes intrigue, and classic mid-century science fiction flair, The Misplaced Battleship delivers a thrilling ride through a universe where nothing is ever quite what it seems.
