When five divorced women in their forties meet weekly to discuss their internet dates, they soon discover friendship can be as difficult to cultivate as new love. A widower, Paul, joins the group and catches the eye of two group members, Holly, a free spirited, twice divorced grammar school teacher and Kimberly, an anxiety stricken paralegal. Despite Paul's last date-tastrophe, he's willing to give love another chance.
As the group members navigate bad table manners and unruly facial hair, a serial killer emerges and targets women on dating sites. The killer leaves a trail of clues not everyone interprets correctly, including the police. The dating terrain becomes treacherous, but Melissa, the leader of the group, reminds everyone of Father Time and urges the dating to continue regardless of the danger.
Romantic rivalry and a shallow dating pool become the least of their troubles when one group member is arrested, angering some while satisfying others. Will justice be served, or is the real killer still roaming the internet?
