Sandrik has destroyed the haeld-sword, and believes he is finally rid of the evil sorcerer Svaerd. Now all he needs to do is convince Earl Arneydor and Countess Torhilde that he did not murder their son. But Svaerd has made other arrangements, and schemes to at last have the power he has so long been deprived of by his four-hundred year imprisonment. His revenge will be all the sweeter when he takes Sandrik and all of this world for his own. Will Svaerd achieve his long-awaited victory at last, or will Sandrik realize his peril in time? Swordsmaster: Defiance is the third novel in the Swordsmaster trilogy.
