Parenting: Wrong Turns, Right Lessons: 30 INSIGHTS to Build Lifelong Influence and Relationships with Your Children is the first book in Scott's newest series featuring his three sons as co-authors, writing on the topics of Parenting, Communication, and Relationships. This book focuses on 30 specific lessons that lead author Scott Jeffrey Miller has learned as a reluctant (hostage) parent to three sons after a life of intended bachelorhood.
As the age-old story goes, man meets woman (at the gym, of course), woman is awesome in every way, then along comes marriage and three sons in five years. Thatcher, the eldest, joins his father as a co-author, offering colorful (truthful) commentary on each insight from his own unvarnished perspective.
If parenting is your life mission and calling, bringing you purpose and unbridled joy every day-THIS IS NOT YOUR BOOK. Delete it from your cart and instead buy Scott's latest book, Career on Course: 10 Strategies to Take Your Career From Accidental to Intentional, because when your kids inevitably abandon you for their own lives, you'll need something to do.
However, if you've ever struggled with parenting-meaning every day you curse, sob, or seriously consider how you could drive to Mexico and never be tracked or found (as if you haven't thought about this)-then make sure your Amazon Prime account is active so you can get this book ASAP.
Parenting Wrong Turns, Right Lessons features father-and-son duo Scott and Thatcher Miller sharing hilarious, vulnerable, and often uncomfortable stories about the daily struggles of parenting-struggles no one warned us about or trained us for. These raw, real, and relatable stories provide validation and hope for every parent who has ever wished (like Scott) for an iron skillet to fall on their head and release them from the chaos.
Please buy this book-Thatcher and his brothers need the royalties (and hopefully movie rights) to fund their future therapy sessions and mindfulness retreats in Costa Rica.
This book is epic.
Need to laugh? Need to cry? Need to vent your pent-up hostility toward your children?
