About
A second chace at a summer romance . . .
Pine Lake Camp has always played a central role in Clara Millen's life, first as a kid and then in her late teens as a counsellor. Now aged thirty, she and her closest friends return every August to help close up the camp for the season. And when burnout and an awful break-up inspire Clara to quit her job, her annual vacation turns into a much-needed escape from reality.
But when she arrives, she faces yet another unwelcome change: the owners are retiring, and selling Pine Lake. The news turns her plans for revelry into a night of reminiscing . . . and prompts a surprise heart-to-heart between Clara and Mack, her annoyingly handsome childhood nemesis.
Soon the campfire isn't all that's throwing off sparks . . .
Kate Spencer's One Last Summer is a dreamy, laugh-out-loud, enemies-to-lovers summer romance that asks: What do you do when the life you've planned isn't what you've dreamed? For fans of Emily Henry and Beth O'Leary.
Kate Spencer is the co-host of the award-winning podcast Forever35 and author of the memoir The Dead Moms Club. In a New York Minute was her first novel. She writes a bi-monthly column for In Style, and her written work has been published by The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed and numerous other places. Previously she worked as a senior editor and producer at VH1.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two daughters. Kate Spencer's One Last Summer is a wonderfully escapist, hilariously funny and joyful romantic comedy about second chances.
