Old Sultan is a quietly powerful fairy tale about loyalty, aging, and the worth of those society is ready to discard. When Sultan, a faithful shepherd's dog, grows old and loses his strength, his master decides the time has come to put him down. Overhearing his fate, Sultan turns in desperation to an unlikely ally-the wolf-and together they devise a plan that will prove his value once more. Through cleverness rather than force, Sultan saves a child, earns gratitude, and secures a peaceful life in his old age. But loyalty is tested again when gratitude clashes with temptation, and the story unfolds into a gentle moral fable about honesty, courage, and wisdom over brute strength. With humor, warmth, and quiet tension, Old Sultan reminds listeners that dignity does not fade with age-and that true worth is often revealed when strength is gone. This timeless Grimm fairy tale blends pastoral charm with moral clarity, offering a humane and enduring lesson for listeners of all ages.
