We all know how difficult it is to have a conversation with people we don't know. What should you talk about? How do we break the ice? In this book, Nijel shows you how to avoid awkward silences and has meaningful conversations with anyone about anything. He does this by using a set of tools that are used by therapists and salespeople to draw people out. By learning how to be a better listener and using stories, Nijel shows you how to become more empathetic and genuinely interested in the other person. This book is filled with fun examples based on real life experiences. There is also a section on conversation starters for the most common kinds of social situations. The book is written in a lighthearted tone and includes interesting stories, tips and exercises to help you become more socially skilled. A social conversation shouldn't feel like a war of words. Make it an exchange that both people can enjoy. Learn how to engage people and know how to listen so they will want to talk with you again.
