Buster Bee arrives at B. Havior School with a backpack full of supplies and a heart full of first-day jitters. Mrs. Beeswax welcomes his questions, but when Too Smart Betty answers quickly and Buster struggles to count the six sides of a hexagon, he begins to wonder whether learning beside other bugs is simply too hard. A lonely daydream helps Buster remember everything he would miss without family, classmates, and friends. Warm, funny, and reassuring, My First Day follows him back to the classroom, where he and Betty discover that nobody knows everything-and that asking, wondering, trying, and helping one another matter far more than being the first to answer.
