Lessons from the Thorns is based on the true story of a young girl's incredible journey through the painful experiences (thorns) of the dreadful realities of life, including childhood sexual abuse and human trafficking. It is a journey that chronicles the fight for mental health and wellness, the search for her voice, her soul. It is the story of a Savior; a Hero was paid the highest price to redeem her right to be free and to be loved. Lessons from the Thorns is a journey that will guide the reader to the remedy for the formidable ailments that continue to plague society. Nothing changes in the silence of apathy. The nation continues to implode because of its defiant autonomy that has turned its back on the One in whom it is supposed to trust: The God of our founding fathers. This work results from men and women who cared enough to serve their fellow man with courage and compassion, giving a love that healed the irreparable wounds - the healing Love of God. You may find your secrets hiding here and the courage to find your voice, take back your life, and begin to heal through the power of the risen Christ.
