Irish Lace

The riveting sequel to Irish Gold featuring amateur sleuth-and psychic-Nuala McGrail.Fresh from solving the mystery of who killed Michael Collins, the Irish revolutionary, Dermot Coyne and Nuala McGrail are reunited in Chicago. Dermot compares Nuala to Irish lace: "thin and delicate and pretty, and just a little bit complicated." But their courtship is once again interrupted, this time by one of Nuala's "spells"-visions she has from the past. Driving down Lake Shore Drive, she is overwhelmed by the screams of thousands of dying men, feeling the pain of the tormented souls who want their truth to finally come out. Nuala and Dermot's pursuit of justice draws the ire of alleged members of the IRA, and then Nuala is arrested. Dermot might be able to protect her from thugs, but what can he do against a corrupt and uncaring bureaucracy that threatens to deport his love back to Ireland?
