Could a chance encounter between strangers lead to a lifetime of love?
Kat Maddox has had her fair share of terrible relationships. And after discovering that her latest boyfriend has been hiding an entire other life from her, it's time for a fresh start.
Accepting a job on the Cornish coast, Kat begins a new chapter in Fowey. She is immediately drawn to the beautiful Cornish landscapes and swiftly an old feeling begins to emerge. Ever since she was young, Kat's had a 'gift' - when her paintbrush touches canvas, she's able to see the history of her subject as if by magic.
Consumed with trying to discover what this could mean, she crosses paths with local sailor, Mac. Though this isn't the first, or the last time, they're destined to meet. As Mac and Kat grow closer, she begins to wonder whether she should open her heart to love one more time... Kate Ryder is an international bestselling author of romantic suspense and timeslip with a hint of otherworldliness/supernatural. Several years ago, she and her partner moved from the Home Counties to renovate a near-derelict cottage in Cornwall and, inspired by the ruggedly beautiful landscapes, she sets many of her novels in her adopted county. Today, Kate lives in a fully renovated cottage with her (now) husband and Bella, a rehomed Bengal-cross cat that insists on monopolising the keyboard and printer while she attempts to craft her next novel. A gorgeously heart-warming and romantic romance novel that will sweep you off your feet. Author is based in Gunnislake (Cornwall), United Kingdom. Perfect for fans of Christina Courtenay, Elena Collins and Barbara Erskine. Kate sells well internationally - in the US and Australia, in particular, with 70% of international sales coming from the US and 10% from Australia. Beneath Cornish Skies (published by Aria) became an international bestseller when it achieved the #1 spot on Amazon Australia's Kindle Store soon after publication. It also hit the Top 100 on Amazon UK and was shortlisted for the RNA Romantic Novel Awards in 2022.
